The system updater does not work on Windows 11 (24H2 or later).

Due to a Windows 11 update released in or after January 2026, the Windows MIDI functionality has been updated, and the KORG USB-MIDI Driver is no longer supported.
It is required to uninstall the KORG USB-MIDI Driver by following the instructions in Uninstalling the KORG USB-MIDI Driver on Windows 11.

After uninstalling the KORG USB-MIDI Driver, an error message may appear in the system updater. However, you can continue to use it by following the steps below.

 

1. When you launch kmupdate.exe, the following error message will appear. Please ignore it and proceed.

 

2. Click “Config.”

Uncheck “Use only KORG MIDI Driver”, then click “OK.”

3. Click the “Update” button to start the update.
