How to Use Online Multiplayer

Starting with Version 2.0, multiplayer for KORG Gadget for Nintendo Switch is available over the internet. Here are the steps to follow to play online.

Preparations

For online multiplayer and exchanging data over the internet, in addition to an internet connection, you will also need to sign up for Nintendo Switch Online (paid service).

Also, in order to properly connect, a stable internet connection is required. Tethering and other non stable connections are not recommended.

Creating a New Room

Create a new room for multiplayer.
By sharing the meeting place and your username, you can invite other players to join you in your room.

This is not just for creating new songs, but you can also load existing songs and continue with them in multiplayer

1. Under “Online Multiplayer” select “Create a Room.”
2. Select a meeting place.
3. Select whether you would like to create a new song or load an existing song to
   begin. If you create a new song, you can change settings such as Time Limit and
   Random Gadget.
4. When you are done, from the overview screen menu choose “Online Multiplayer”
   then “End Online Multiplayer.”

Joining an Existing Room

Enter a room that another player has created and begin multiplayer.

After they tell you the meeting place and their username, you can join the same room as another specific player.

1. Under “Online Multiplayer” select “Choose a Room.”
2. Select a meeting place.
3. When you select a room from the list you will enter the room and multiplayer will
   begin.
4. When you are done, from the overview screen menu choose “Online Multiplayer”
   then “End Online Multiplayer.”

Watching Other Multiplayer Sessions

You watch other people making a song. Up to four people can watch a single room.

1. Under “Online Multiplayer” select “Watch a Room.”
2. Select a meeting place.
3. When you select a room from the list you will enter the room and begin watching.
4. When you are done, press the B Button.

Important Notes

• Please do not bother other players.
• When loading a song and beginning multiplayer, other players can save that
  song.
  Please give consideration to any issues with rights to the song.
• When entering a room or beginning to watch, the actions of the other players will be briefly paused. Please do not unnecessarily enter and exit a room repeatedly.
