When using it as Control Surface in Cubase, the MIDI Message of the operated operator is recorded.

Go to Devices> Device Setup> MIDI "MIDI Port Setup" page and uncheck the "In 'All MIDI Inputs'" of MIDI Device used on Control Surface.
