How can I import, organize, and share Programs?

Programs are stored as individual files on disk

Factory preset Programs are built into opsix native. User Programs, and optional sounds from Korg and third-party developers, are stored as individual .op6program files on disk. The location is slightly different for Windows and macOS, as shown below.

Windows: My Documents\KORG\opsix native\Presets\User

macOS: Documents/KORG/opsix native/Presets/User

Organizing Programs into Banks

You can add new folders at the same level as "User." Each folder will appear as a Bank in the Program Browser, organized alphabetically below "Templates." For example, you could create (on macOS):

Documents/KORG/opsix native/Presets/Project 2022

"Project 2022" will then appear as a Bank in the Program Browser:

You can store Programs directly into these new folders. You can also re-organize Programs into Banks by using the Finder (macOS) or Explorer (Windows) to move .op6program files between folders. Depending on the version of opsix native that you're using, you may need to re-launch the plug-in before changes are recognized.

Important: .op6program files must be stored inside a folder at the same level as "User." If they are in the main "Presets" folder, they will not appear in the Program Browser.

Importing Programs

To import Programs, simply place the .op6program files into the "User" folder, or another folder at the same level (like "Project 2022" above). You can also place a folder containing .op6program files directly into the "Presets" folder; the folder will then appear as a Bank in the Program Browser. Depending on the version of opsix native that you're using, you may need to re-launch the plug-in before changes are recognized.

Sharing Programs between opsix native and the opsix hardware

opsix native can share Programs with the opsix hardware. Simply use the hardware's Sound Librarian software to import and export .op6program files - the same file type used by opsix native.
