Restore from backup
IMPORTANT: Make sure to back up any data (Performances, Programs, etc.) that you want to keep! This process will remove all user data.
1. Download the following file:
Wavestate factory database as backup file
2. Open the wavestate Editor/Librarian.
3. In the File menu, select the Restore… command.
A standard file open dialog will appear.
4. Select the wavestate backup file downloaded in step 2 above ("wavestate_factory_database_2026.wsbackup.zip").
The Main Window will change to show the restore dialog. This shows the text note stored with the file, and includes a series of check-boxes to select the types of data which will be restored. By default, all data types are selected except for Calibration Data and the User Sample Bank.
Important: Leave Calibration Data un-checked! It should only be used when restoring to the identical physical instrument which created the backup.
5. Press Start to begin the restore, or Cancel to return to the Main Window.
A progress bar shows the status of the restore, and a message appears when the restore is complete.
Alternative method: manual bulk delete
As an alternative to restoring from the backup file, you can manually delete user sounds.
