Windows: crashing or not loading sounds

If you have difficulties with wavestate, modwave, or multi/poly native crashing or not loading sounds on Windows, please try the following procedure:

  1. Quit all running instances of the instrument, both plug-in and standalone, as well as any plug-in hosts such as DAWs.
  2. Delete the instrument's preferences file. File locations for all three products are listed below. 

    wavestate native: 
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\KORG\wavestate native

    modwave native:
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\KORG\modwave native

    multi/poly native:
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\KORG\multipoly native
     
  3. Run the stand-alone app again, and when prompted, select the instrument's file system. The default file locations for all three products are listed below.

    wavestate native: 
    C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\KORG\wavestate native\System

    modwave native:
    C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\KORG\modwave native\System

    multi/poly native:
    C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\KORG\multipoly native\System
