Example:
This example shows how to record a specific track in a DAW with the 700S Filter of microAUDIO applied.
Setup
Connect microAUDIO to your computer.
Launch microAUDIO EDITOR.
Open the SETTINGS tab and configure the following:
Set FILTER ROUTING to USB
Set the Channel to USB 3–4
In the SETTINGS tab, configure the following:
Set LOOPBACK to OFF
Set HEADPHONE OUT to BOTH
Click the TRANSMIT button.
DAW Setup
Launch your DAW.
Create Audio Track 1 and import the audio data of the song.
Set the audio output to microAUDIO channels 3–4.Create Audio Track 2 and set the audio input to microAUDIO channels 3–4.
Arm Track 2 for recording and start recording.
The audio recorded on Track 2 will include the 700S Filter applied by microAUDIO.
Ableton Live
From the Live menu, open
Live > Settings > Audio, and select microAUDIO for both Input Device and Output Device.In Input Config and Output Config, enable channels 1, 2, 3, and 4.
Create Audio Track 1 and import the audio data of the song.
Set Audio To to Ext. Out 3 / 4 (microAUDIO channels 3–4).Create Audio Track 2.
Set Audio From to Ext. In 3 / 4 (microAUDIO channels 3–4).The output from Track 1 will now be routed to Track 2.
*To monitor the audio being recorded, set Monitor to In.
Start recording on Track 2.
Cubase
From the Cubase menu, open
Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System, and select microAUDIO as the ASIO Driver.Add 3–4Ch In as an Audio Input.
Add 3–4Ch Out as an Audio Output.
- Create Audio Track 1 and import the audio data of the song.
In Routing, set Out to 3–4ch. Create Audio Track 2.
In Routing, set In to 3–4ch.The output from Track 1 will now be routed to Track 2.
*To monitor the audio being recorded, click the speaker icon to turn monitoring ON.
Start recording on Track 2.
Logic Pro
From the Logic Pro menu, open
Logic Pro > Settings > Audio, and select microAUDIO for both Input Device and Output Device.Create Audio Track 1 and import the audio data of the song.
Set Out to Output 3–4.Create Audio Track 2.
Set In to Input 3–4.The output from Track 1 will now be routed to Track 2.
*To monitor the audio being recorded, press the “I” button to turn Input Monitoring ON.
Start recording on Track 2.
