macOS Sequoia or later: Editor/Librarian, Korg System Updater, or Sample Builder can't connect to hardware

macOS Sequoia introduces permissions settings for network access for individual applications. If set incorrectly, this can block KORG software from accessing the wavestate. To check this:

  1. Quit all related KORG software, including the Editor/Librarian, System Updater, and Sample Builder.
  2. Open System Settings.
  3. Select "Privacy & Security" and then the sub-section "Local Network."
  4. You will see entries to enable or disable different applications. Find the entries for the wavestate Editor/Librarian, System Updater, and Sample Builder.
  5. If it is disabled, turn it on, and then open the desired KORG software; it should now be able to connect to the hardware.
