Owner's Manual Addendum
- The .fxb file and the .cmap file which you have saved can be loaded as the default setting when launching software. If you would like to make your saved .fxb file the default setting, first, load the file which you have saved, then select FILE>"Make Current Bank Default" on the Legacy Cell screen. Also, if you would like to make your saved .cmap file the default setting, first, load the file which you have saved, then click "KORG" logo on the Legacy Cell screen, and select "Make Current Controller Map Default". To owners of any previous version of this software: please note that the method of loading the default setting has been changed.
- Legacy Cell also supports working with the KONTROL49 controller keyboard in KORG Native mode. The control features are the same as the microKONTROL, with the addition of the following new operations:
PITCH : Pitch bend wheel
MODULATION : Modulation wheel (CC#1)
SW1 : Decrement a program
SW2 : Increment a program
VECTOR(X) : Input fader of SYNTH1
VECTOR(Y) : Input fader of SYNTH2
ASSIGNABLE PEDAL : Master fader
- The specification has been changed so that the microKONTROL and the KONTROL49 will always be assigned to the combination channel when they are used in the KORG Native mode.
- The specification has been changed so that the assignable pedal jack on the microKONTROL is now used for the sustain pedal function - MIDI Control Change #64.
- Once a Program has already been selected (by clicking it in the Performance list), the cursor keys can then be used to select a Program.
- The MS-20 controller can be used to control Legacy Cell parameters in the standalone mode. The following list shows which knobs on the MS-20 controller are routed to which Sliders and Encoders in the Legacy Cell.
SYNTH1
Encoder 1 <-> HPF CUTOFF FREQUENCY
Encoder 2 <-> HPF PEAK
Encoder 3 <-> HPF CUTOFF MOD MG/T.EXT
Encoder 4 <-> HPF CUTOFF MOD EG2/EXT
Slider 1 <-> VCO1 WAVE FORM
Slider 2 <-> VCO1 SCALE
Slider 3 <-> PORTAMENTO
Slider 4 <-> VCO1 LEVEL
SYNTH2
Encoder 5 <-> LPF CUTOFF FREQUENCY
Encoder 6 <-> LPF PEAK
Encoder 7 <-> LPF CUTOFF MOD MG/T.EXT
Encoder 8 <-> LPF CUTOFF MOD EG2/EXT
Slider 5 <-> VCO2 WAVE FORM
Slider 6 <-> VCO2 SCALE
Slider 7 <-> MASTER TUNE
Slider 8 <-> VCO2 LEVEL
- When both SYNTH1 and SYNTH2 are designated as MS-20s, and you want the MS-20 controller to operate on only one of the MS-20s (only SYNTH1 or only SYNTH2), set the MIDI channel of the SYNTH you want to control to "1" using Connection.
- When you want to control the stand-alone version using the microKONTROL in the KORG Native mode, change the MIDI channel of COMBINATION to "2" using Connection. Also (The description "MIDI channel is fixed to 1 " in the manual was wrong.), if you want to use the MS-20 Controller to control the MS-20 at the same time, set the MIDI channel of the SYNTH (to which the MS-20 is assigned ) to "1" using Connection.
- When using the microKONTROL or the KONTROL49 and the stand-alone version in the KORG Native mode, press the [ENTER] key on the microKONTROL or the KONTROL49 and the current parameter names will be shown on the LCDs.
- You can write (or update) a Performance program by clicking the [Write] button, and then double-clicking a destination program.
