Changes and revisions in v1.6.0 from v1.5.3

- [Enhancement] The data from the five original T-series expansion cards has been added. With the addition of the T-series data, the M1 software synthesizer now encompasses the sound library of the T-series. All of the PCM waveforms, Programs, and Combinations from the following cards have been integrated:*

TSD-06 <FRETTED INSTS>

TSD-07 <ETHNIC>

TSD-08 <SOUND EFFECTS>

TSD-09 <ENVIRONMENT>

TSD-10 <VOICE>

*Each of these cards originally contained 200 Programs and 100 Combinations, but since there is some overlap between the content of these cards and the data that is already included in the M1 software synthesizer, the total number of original T-series sounds added comes to 100 Programs, 104 Combinations and 107 PCM waveforms.

- [Enhancement] Panning (CC#10) and expression (CC#11) can be controlled via MIDI control change messages.

- [Enhancement] New INSERT FX SW and MASTER FX SW functions have been added to the GLOBAL page. While in COMBI, MULTI, and PROG modes, you can collectively switch all of the insert effects and/or all of the master effects ON and OFF.

- [Enhancement] An additional value of +12dB has been added to the OUTPUT GAIN parameter on the GLOBAL page. You can set the final output level to -12dB, -6dB, +0dB, +6dB or +12dB.

Some minor low-level operational bugs have also been fixed.

- [Change] The method of the default setting of the .fxb file and the .cmap file that are loaded when launching the software has been changed. - [Bug fix] The OCTAVE and INTERVAL parameters on the OSC page previously had no effect on the appended "NT" multisounds. This has been fixed.

--------

Changes and revisions in v1.5.0 from v1.0.2

- [Enhancement] The T-series internal presets and 5 expansion cards have been added. All PCM, Programs, and Combinations of the following cards are integrated:*

TSD-00PI <PRE-LOAD DATA>

TSD-01 <SYNTH>

TSD-02 <DRUMS>

TSD-03 <COMBINATION 1>

TSD-04 <COMBINATION 2>

TSD-05 <COMBINATION 3>

*Each of these cards originally contained 200 Programs and 100 Combinations, but since there was some overlap between the content of these cards and the data that is already included in the M1 software synthesizer, the total number of original T-series sounds added is 200 Programs, 209 Combinations and 61 PCM waveforms.

- [Enhancement] User and third-party T-series data can be imported from system exclusive files. Each data file will be imported to the user cards listed below. So we recommend that you make a backup copy in advance of any data you have currently saved in these locations. The importing procedure is the same as when importing M1 data.

All Data Combination USER 1 - USER 2

ProgramUSER 1 - USER 4

DrumkitUSER 1

All Combination Combination USER 1 - USER 2

All Program Program USER 1 - USER 4

1 Combination Combination USER 1

Owner's Manual Addendum

- Programs included in Combinations of the KLC PRESETS card are customized for these Combinations and do not exist in any Program cards. When the Program is changed by dragging the mouse or using the arrow keys, the Program number 00 from the KLC PRESETS card is loaded.

- You can insert a sound in the Browser of a User card, by dragging and dropping a sound to a different location while holding down your computer's [Command] key.

- The User card data will be saved with the bank data. If you want to make your current settings the default, name it "M1.fxb", and overwrite the configuration file with this file (be sure to make a back-up of the original file before doing this!). For the Mac (both stand-alone and plug-in versions) it is in the "KORG" folder found in  /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST folder.

Note: Configurations of Global mode in bank data cannot become initial values. Settings restored in SAVE DEFAULT will be the init setting.

- If you customize CC# assignments and want to make your custom controller map the default, named it "M1.cmap", and overwrite the configuration file with this file (be sure to make a back-up of the original file before doing this!). For the Mac (both stand-alone and plug-in versions) it is in the "KORG" folder found in /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST folder.

- All contents in the original M1 manual aren't applicable for the M1 software synthesizer; e.g. MIDI implementation.
