Different multi/poly models
All updates apply to both the multi/poly keyboard and module, except where specified otherwise.
How to update multi/poly hardware
To update multi/poly hardware, use the Korg System Updater (click here to go to the download page). The Korg System Updater installs software updates onto select Korg hardware instruments. Currently, this includes the wavestate, modwave, multi/poly, opsix, and Grandstage X instrument families. It automatically detects supported instruments and connects to an internet server to find the latest available software versions.
Version 1.1.0
- Undoing randomization from the Editor/Librarian now works properly.
- Modulation intensity now correctly shows the plus sign for modulations on unipolar parameters.
- Chord Fixed Velocity is now saved and restored properly.
- Previously, when the Master lane was reset, if a Lane’s last Step was a rest, the first Step would also incorrectly act as a rest. This has now been fixed.
- Previously, when re-using a voice from a virtual voice card, if the Amp Envelope was set to the minimum attack time of 1 ms it would instead open even faster, in 0.3 ms, which could cause a sharp clicking sound. (This effect was masked if the Envelope Delay Time was non-zero.) This has now been fixed.
- Added support for new versions of the Editor/Librarian to hide unused categories in the Filters section on the left of the Librarian window and Selector dialogs.
- Previously, after using Compare, the Master EQ could temporarily become uneditable. This has now been fixed.
- Implemented new algorithm for allocating computational resources to voices, for improved CPU efficiency under some conditions.
Version 1.0.4
- Previously, the Filter Bass Full/Tight parameter for 2-Pole, 4-Pole, and Multi-Filter types always behaved as if it was set to Full. This has now been fixed.
- When loading a Performance or Program, if a wavetable oscillator has no wavetable selected, it is set to Basic 1.
- Previously, modulation of Pitch Env Velocity and Filter A/B parameters was incorrectly allowed. This has now been fixed.
- Using MOD+> and SHIFT+CONTROL I and SHIFT+PW/MORPH, it’s now possible to add modulation for Waveshaper Offset and Filter A/B Balance.
Version 1.0.3
- Previously, an unused parameter ("Start From") appeared on the Envelope Trigger pages. This has now been fixed.
- The Auto Power-Off option on the UTILITY Preferences page now supports the new European Union requirement for shutdown after 20 minutes. This is now the default setting. Previous user settings will be maintained.
Version 1.0.2
- Long mod destination names are now abbreviated to avoid truncation on the display.
- Previously, the Editor/Librarian could crash when using undo after changing the Filter Type. This has now been fixed.
- In the Osc Mixer and Osc Pitch pages, parameters are now shown for disabled as well as enabled Oscillators. Press an unselected OSC button to select that Oscillator's parameters on the Mixer/Tune page; press an already-selected OSC button to jump to the Osc Waveform page.
- Previously, while recording Motion Sequence data, pressing the OCTAVE buttons could interfere with the recording. This has now been fixed.
- The text on the About page has been updated.
- Previously, randomizing the arpeggiator would also randomize effects. This has now been fixed.
- Arpeggiator Resolution can now be modulated.
- If the selected Osc type does not have a parameter corresponding to the CONTROL I, CONTROL II, or PW/MORPH knobs, then turning the knob now shows the Osc Waveform page (instead of doing nothing).
- The default Set List UUID is now set to select "Taste of multi/poly."
- Previously, Hold did not work correctly if the Voice Assign Mode was set to Poly, but the Legato parameter (shown only when Mode is set to Mono) was set to On. This has now been fixed.
- Miscellaneous user interface elements have been improved.
