Can I export songs?

Because of limitations of the Nintendo Switch platform, we can not support exporting songs as audio.
When you want to use songs externally, please record the audio from either the headphone output in the body of the Nintendo Switch, or from HDMI audio output.

If you have KORG Gadget 2 for iOS, you can send song data from the Nintendo Switch version to the iOS version using a QR code, and continue to build the song in it.
Please refer to the article about how to accomplish that: Sending song data to KORG Gadget for iOS using a QR code.

This is a big disappointment. I assumed we would AT LEAST have the ability to pull wav or mp3 files off the SD card, and was hoping beyond hope we would get MIDI export. There are links to Soundcloud clips for the various modules on your Switch Gadget site. That made me hope there might be some direct integration with that service.

Any chance more export features are coming in an update? Unfortunately you lost a sale from me with the current state of the app.

This is an unacceptable omission for me and truly disappointing. Please inform us if you intend to add this functionality at a later date. I will re-visit the possibility of purchasing KORG Gadget at that time. Thank you.

Are there any plans to add this functionality at a later date? Something like a Dropbox or even SoundCloud upload would make a huge difference. Without a convenient way of getting the songs off of the Switch, the application is severely limited in its use as a music creation tool. Thanks for taking the time to read.

This is a major let down and a missed opportunity for your company. We are a family of music creators (all young and old) that sometimes make music for friends to use in performances and indie films. Without the feature of exporting in high quality your product is pretty much useless to us. FYI, We have 4 Nintendo Switches and were looking forward to using your product for fun and business when at home and away on travels. Let us know when you put this feature in. Until then there is no sales here.

Hello, what I would like to know is, can the Gadget be configured to put a "click track" in one stereo channel, such as the Korg Volca and Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator use to synchronize device tempo? Would Korg consider adding this feature at a later time?

This is a terrible decision and alienates a lot of potential buyers from the professional, artistic, and creative musical fields.

This is essentially a demo version of what otherwise would be a full app. Its very hard to justify paying full price when its basically a toy for entertainment with no means to expand and finalize creations.

Been really looking forward to using this tool as another means for inspiration and creativity. I hope you all would consider and update of some sort. Really enjoyed your products until now.

That is insane! I already made the purchase, but I will make sure my friends don't make the same mistake I did. Without an export feature this is effectively useless for real song making

No midi, no export....no sale. Sorry Korg. I don't need toys. I was hoping to have a Korg based instrument without owning an iPad.

This is a gross oversight. You've essentially rendered your app unusable for anything but casual use, alienating your core audience and users.

I, too, find this an amazing oversight. At the very least, we should be able to import or export MIDI.

this is truly shocking and I myself would have reconsidered the purchase if it wasn't for the fact I'd already bought it ....

I was in the process of buying eshop credit to get this when I found out there's no export. This is frustrating, confusing, and for me, a deal breaker. This is $50 dollar software, surely there must be a way to implement such a critical feature?

Is this a mistake? No serious music creation software can lack midi or a way of exporting songs. Otherwise it’s as pointless as the virtual boy... (that had no midi either)

I was excited to purchase the Korg Gadget, but found out it did not support MIDI or exporting. This is a huge disappointment! I will not be purchasing unless these features are added.

Surprising and disappointing for this long time Korg supporter. I seriously hope you're planning to add this in an update soon. We don't ask for much - basic exporting, or at least saving to WAV on the SD card is the bare minimum for a music app in 2018.

Extremely disappointing. This feature seems like a no-brainer. How difficult would this be to inplement, anyway? Even if there was the option to save files to the SD card this wouldn't be as bad.

I sincerely hope there is an update. This app looks incredible and I'd love to use it on my switch. But until I can export, I will save my money.

The lack of an export feature is massively disappointing, regardless of format. What's the point of a creative tool if you cannot easily share your creations? Please work towards a solution.

I bought the app, liked the interface especially having the D-pad, but the lack of MIDI and import/export is sad. This was originally advertised as a DAW...

Because of limitations of the Nintendo Switch platform, we can not support exporting songs and MIDI right now. We think this feature is very important, and we wish we can provide this functionality. Thank you for your understanding.

Let Nintendo know that the limitations of their platform are currently holding Gadget back from reaching its full potential as a creative tool.

Until those limitations are lifted, a work-around would be greatly appreciated. Even if we had some way to transfer project files between Switch and Mac/iOS, that would be far better than being forced to record projects from the headphone jack.

Once again, this was not clearly communicated on the store page. Between, this, no midi support, and only partial touch implementation I'm most likely going to be returning the app.

Reviews were disabled on the Nintendo website for the Korg Gadget? That is just wrong! If Korg doesn't like negative feedback then they should not scam people by selling software missing expected core features!

To be fair, reviews for all eShop games were disabled some time ago. It isn't limited to Korg Gadget.
