How to use Keystage with GarageBand / Logic

Install Keystage Control Surface Script for GarageBand/Logic on your Mac and simply connect Keystage to automatically complete optimal MIDI assignments.

 

▪️Operating requirements
・GarageBand version 10.4.4 or later.
・Logic Pro X version 10.6 or later.

 

◾️How to use
・ Install Keystage Control Surface Script for GarageBand/Logic.

・Connect Keystage after starting GarageBand / Logic Pro, Keystage is automatically recognized.
*When connecting Keystage to GarageBand, Logic Pro X, "Do you want to automatically assign the controls of the Keystage?" message will appear, please click on "Auto Assign", or
Open the Logic Pro X menu - Logic Pro - Control Surfaces - Settings - Controller Surfaces - MIDI Controllers and check the Keystage.

 

The following functions are assigned to Keystage controllers.

PLAY (>) Play
STOP (◻︎) Stop
REC (○) Record
LOOP Cycle Mode
METRO (SHIFT + TEMPO) Metronome ON/OFF
UNDO Undo
SELECT LOWER TRACK
(SHIFT + VALUE v)
Next Track
SELECT UPPER TRACK
(SHIFT + VALUE ^)
Previous Track
PLAY POSITION BACK
(SHIFT + encoder Left)
Rewind
PLAY POSITION FORWARD (SHIFT + encoder Right) Forward

 

▪️Logic Pro X

Keystage Garage Band
PLAY (>) Play

・If you want to synchronize Keystage's arpeggiator to Logic's tempo,
    Logic Menu - File - Project Settings - Synchronization - MIDI
    Select Distination: Keystage CTRL, and check the Clock.
