Different opsix models
All updates apply to both the original opsix, opsix mkII, opsix SE, and opsix module, except where specified otherwise.
How to update opsix hardware
To update opsix hardware, use the Korg System Updater. The Korg System Updater installs software updates onto select Korg hardware instruments. Currently, this includes the wavestate, modwave, and opsix instrument families. It automatically detects supported instruments, and connects to an internet server to find the latest available software versions.

The following improvements have been added to opsix for better compatibility with opsix SE.
- The range of OCTAVE -/+ has been extended to 4 octaves.
- The following parameters have been added: SEQ > SEQUENCER > ACTIVE, SEQ > MOTION > SYNC, GLOBAL > MIDI > Aftertouch Src, GLOBAL > CTRL > Aftertouch Curve, and GLOBAL > SEQ > Key Trig Velocity.

- Pressing the plus and minus OP SELECT buttons at the same time will now select operator 1.
- When GLOBAL > SYS > USB Network is set to NCM, then reset via Factory Reset > Global or Reset > All, display now correctly reflects the internal value.
- Fixed an issue with importing programs from a DX7 via system exclusive messages when a program after 470 is selected. All programs after 501 will now be deleted when performing Factory Reset > All.
- Fixed an issue that could cause a crash when Unison Voices is set to 5 or 7 voices.
- Fixed LFO tempo precision when receiving MIDI clock with a lot of jitter.
- The currently sounding voice now properly reflects the random waveform when it is selected.

- The EFFECT operator mode was added. When using this mode, the operator works as one of 10 different effects, including delay, comb filter, and distortion.

- Aftertouch can now be recorded and played back via the motion sequencer.(*1)
