In Remote Install, Darwin / Memphis / Pompei / Module gadgets will be transferred from iPad to iPhone. (In-App Purchase content will not be transferred.)
1. Prepare your iPad and iPhone by installing the latest iOS.
2. Enable your same "iCloud account" and "iCloud Drive" on both devices.
3. Connect to the same "Wi-Fi network" on both device.
(Please turn off "Bluetooth" to get a stable connection.)
4. Launch KORG Gadget on both devices (iPad and iPhone).
* Disable Auto-Lock is required.
5. Tap Darwin / Memphis / Pompei / Module "Buy button" on the iPhone.
6. Tap "Remote Install button" on the iPhone.
7. After "Connected" appears on the screen, tap the button again to start installation.
So on iPhone you have 2 Korg gadget apps! The one you bought for the iPad (now free) and one for the iPhone that cost money! Use the one for iPad!
Thank you for the info, Kent. I think I saw that somewhere yesterday and tried to look how to do that in Module, but I only have the Lite version of module... Do you have the full version? I wonder if Lite is a limitation for me regarding the remote installation?
Yes. I've had them since they first released on iPhone. I was wondering if you had full Module on iPhone and maybe that's why the remote install worked for you.
Casper: Yes the full Module! Works!
Do you know any info about iM1 for iphone?
Yes. I know that i can't get it (iM1:Darwin) installed 😕 And that's why I'm here
To be clear. It works for me due to the fact I can install my earlier bought Korg Module iPad version to the iPhone. So my thinking is if I can install my earlier bought Korg iM1on the iPhone it will work. But I cant find any iM1 to install on the iphone. Installing Darwin inside Korg Gadget iPhone doesnt work! So status qou for Darwin! Sorry!
I purchased full Module and all expansions for iPad in the past. When Korg released Module for iPhone I only installed the LITE version because I didn't feel like paying $40.
Regarding Darwin, if you open Gadget on iPhone and choose a gadget, scroll to bottom of gadget list and you should see Module and Darwin with a Buy button. That's how I'm trying to do the Remote Install.
I still can't get this to work. Does anyone have a magic solution? Or Korg? Thanks!
It's fascinating that I (and many others) have not received responses in about 3-4 MONTHS from Korg. It's simply unacceptable.
I also find it hard to believe I'm the only user who is still unable to do a Remote Install. I've got all the iOS updates done, all the settings enabled per Korg's instructions, and the fastest internet package my ISP provides.
To our community:
I'm sorry in advance if you hear from me every couple of days about this. I'm so annoyed that I'm not going to stop until I hear from Korg. I work in IT, and to just ignore your community when they're in need of assistance is wrong. I've been asking Korg for months to have someone at Korg dedicate an hour a week to address the few questions and suggestions we post.
This is the social media era. Korg needs to hire someone who understands this and can be engaged with its community or it will never keep up with companies who keep advancing this way. Korg should be fearing Native Instruments will release a Lite version for iOS. That will be the end of Gadget.
So if you're listening Korg, consider us Users (even if we are just a small fraction of your overall business) who love your Gadget product, but are mainly loyal because KG is the only full blown iOS production app on the market.
Take a lesson from Gary Vaynerchuk, and respond to each and every comment that comes your way.
Dear Casper,
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Please don't get angry to hear this, but Remote Install works perfectly in every case we've tested.
We really need a clue to solve your problem.
Remote Install has two modes to send Darwin: wi-fi and bluetooth.
To use wi-fi mode, turn on wi-fi and turn off bluetooth. If you need bluetooth mode, turn on bluetooth and turn off wi-fi.
Bluetooth mode is recommended for your case - it is surprisingly slow, but not being affected by any wi-fi settings.
Also, please make sure that Darwin has been installed on the iPad side.
Best regards,
Ok a few things:
I'm not getting upset, I'm very frustrated that a member from Korg doesn't visit the forums a couple of times a week to address our concerns, so thanks for getting involved.
I will try Bluetooth tonight and let it run overnight since I have followed the instructions repeatedly and checked all areas that might cause an issue (such as logging in and out of AppleID on both devices). The most frustrating thing is when I click on Remote install link and it opens up the Gadget page in settings on iPhone.
I noticed another user mention that he successfully installed the Module expansions by simply installing Module on iPhone.
My questions are: (1) do I need the full version of Module on iPhone before I do the remote install for the expansions? (2) do I remote install inside Gadget like I would do with iM1/Darwin to get all Module expansions on iPhone?
Thanks,
Casper
BT gave me same results so I Restored all Purchases on both devices... and it works now!!!
I think someone else mentioned that in the forum but I never thought it would resolve for me. Crazy!
So Darwin is silently completely gone from the latest Gadget version on iPhone?
No
OK then there IS bug - Darwin is not listed among available gadgets on my iphone anymore :(
If both Darwin and iWavestation can run on iPhone, I really hope that iM1 gets made as a universal app. I hope KORG sees the demand for it. I don't have an iPad and don't plan on purchasing one for the sole purpose of using KORG apps when I can use my vastly superior touchscreen Yoga laptop to run the Legacy Collection instead, but having an M1 to take in my pocket with me would be immensely helpful.
I don't have an iPad, but I would like to buy Darwin for my iPhone version of Gadget. Is it possible to buy iM1 on iTunes for my mac, then somehow remote install Darwin to my iPhone?
Hey... major fan here, but little bit frustrated. Remote install stop each time half way, iPhone goes black. Even if I try iPhone from going to sleep mode

Hi Marreman Rojas,
Is "Disable Auto-Lock" on iPhone and iPad enabled?
Please check Disable Auto-Lock from setting. Best regards, KORG app team
Hey, how can I get my Darwin User Library banks on to my iPhone? I use Darwin with custom patches and Bilbao with my own samples on all my Gadget tracks, and all of my projects load with the wrong sounds on iPhone. Surely we should be able to upload Darwin user patch banks and custom Bilbao kits to iCloud so we can import them? Cheers
