This could have been the best midi controller but needing to using desktop control software to change the midi chamnel is a nightmare. You may as well say ios is not supported. The whole point of a midi keyboard for most people is controlling a variety of midi channels. Even using it on a desktop is awkward to have to switch to the control software each time I want to control a new instrument. It’s so fundamentally flawed it seems like someone in Korg’s research and development department dropped the ball. Any producer who takes this home will soon realize it’s conpletely worthless for making music. A piano student is the only one who could really benefit. If it is at all possible to change the midi channel from the device - KORG, I BEG YOU, please make it possible to change the midi channel from the microkey air. A user could push both octave buttons and hit a one of 16 keys on the keyboard. Please correct this serious oversight if at all possible!
For all the promised features on the nanokey studio for $170.00 this thing sucks! First of all I don’t own a mac so I had to use a friends just to update the firmware so I could use Bluetooth! Now I found out that kontrol editor is WORTHLESS on the ipad! Now I found out that even with. Mac this thing is cumbersome at best! I have spent HOURS fckin around with this damn thing all to no avail! I have Gadget2 and many of the gadgets (also a waste). Better of to have bought another controller and stick with MOOG! I live with the hope that KORG will correct all these issues! They certainly have the Technology! Otherwise everything you see is false advertising in terms of ease of use, or even functionalit!
Oh dear. Oh dear. I was just about to buy a few of these but not being able to change the mIDI output from the keyboard makes this thing useless! Who's in charge of firmware updates? Come on, KORG. Listen to your customers. They've asked for this reasonable functionality for over two years.
