I have a 2018 11” iPad PRO. I purchased a Microkeys Air in January 2019, and had great results with the iOS 11 and 12. I use a wide range of Synthesizer programs, including Korg Module Pro, and the Korg app BLE-MIDI worked perfectly. Up until the recent update to iOS 13.1 and now, 13.2 I had experienced virtually no issues of Bluetooth incompatibility between my iPad, it’s softwares and the KORG MicroKeys Air devices. Currently, I am unable to connect. My question to the support team is this: will the incompatibility issues I, and thousands of other enthusiastic users of Korg iOS and MicroKeys Air products be resolved in a future update? Is this something that can be fixed?
I purchased the MicroKeys Air specifically to function as my midi Controller for the iPad Pro. The Korg Websites relating to this issue have not been updated to address this issue, and I hope this is an indication that this is only a temporary issue. It would be greatly appreciated to get some feedback from someone on the support team, regardless. I perform in a number of bands, and have a career as a solo artist. One of the best creations that I have released was made possible only through the unique combination of Bluetooth midi and a compatible audio interphase. I use a Yamaha AG06 mixer, which doesn’t have a midi input or output, and it functions perfectly in tandem with the Microkeys to perform and create music, with very low latency. I really love Korg’s products, and have to congratulate you all for the excellent attention you’ve given to updating your Module iOS software, as well as it’s sound expansion packs, Gadget 2, ODYSSEi and more. Finally, if this is not fixable, I would appreciate any support in finding an alternate solution to my, and many other users woes. I am including a track I created using my formerly-functional setup. It seems to me that this might be an issue with Apple’s latest software update regarding a new standard for Bluetooth 4.0 compatibility. As previously mentioned, the website does not have any information about this issue, and I could only find a few user comments that have not yet been addressed, so we’d really appreciate an update, and/or any feedback! Feel free to send me an email directly, if I can be of service in helping troubleshooting this. I am happy to provide any feedback, product testing, and am open to becoming an endorsed artist, as I’ve found Korg’s products to live up to the expectations and quality that my mentor Herbie Hancock so enthusiastically supports. Thanks for your attention to these matters. Sincerely, Mark Woodyatt

It appears this is universal, as my microkey air 61, isn’t connecting (or even recognized ) by my 2017, ipad 12.5” running iOS 13 either. In fact I haven’t heard anyone report success as of Sunday, December 1, 2019. You would think KORG could fix this, but it needs to be addressed by Apple in a future update, and is probably not at the top of the list with this very buggy version.

    Hi Omri,
The update is for the keyboard's internal software (firmware) so, I think it will works in any ipad or iPhone.
When you download the update you have to install it in the keyboard using USB cable.

I tried it on ipad pro 11, 12,9, iphone 6 .Bluetooth connection problem:I updated firmware microkey2 air 61 (on pc win 7) and I am able to connect to ble midi, korg module etc, but when I press keys nothing happens. I have check on PC via usb that keys are working fine On ipad i used midi wrench and it shows microkey61 connected but no messages information while pressing keys or using wheels.

As I just bought it yesterday:Please advice - is it hardware related and should I send it back or wait for another fix? Has anyone encountered similar problem with the latest firmware update fix?

I fixed problem microkey air 25 for ipad os ver 13.3
In my case, before updade ipad os(may b ver Ios 12 or lower...) microkey worked(2019.july I remember),

But after update IOs(ver 13.3 ,1219.Dec) , bluetooth pairing failed between IPAD and my Microkey air .

After firmware upgrade, still Ipad can't bluetooth connect.....

So I delete and reinstall the "Bluetooth MIDI Connect APP",
    after I can play keyboard....

Try to firmware upgrad and reinstall APP.

FYI , the update for the Korg USB products does work for IOS 13. The thing to update requires a computer to do it. The first issue you have to find the update software for your product on downloads page (may take a minute for the heavy web page to load) . You also will need to get the Korg USB MIDI driver as well. The midi driver may take a few tries to install. It did on mine after a few plug in and out of controller (Windows thing) Then run updater, do follow instructions for the controller to be put in boot mode.

What is needed is a video on all the steps, my biggest issue on the update was getting the korg usb midi driver to work, took a couple of trys. FYI i do have some synths not wanting to work with korg Bluetooth although they can see it. I think IOS 13 did allot more harm than good

    Important notice:

    Unbelievable but true:

It is not possible to update firmware with an Apple MacOS you have to do it with a Windows System!

I‘ll never buy any KORG product anymore!!!

This is frustrating! Please help!! Please read carefully.
    I have a microKey Air 37 up-to-date with firmware 1.04 and a nanoKey Studio up-to-date with firmware 1.08.

I have a 12.9 inch iPad Pro 2nd gen, a MacBook Pro 15" 2018 and an iMac 27" late 2015. I just installed simultaneously Catalina, up-dated it, installed Logic from the App Store, and the Bluetooth Midi Connect App also from the AppStore, I re-installed this last app on the iPad running iOS13, and here is the behavior of both KORG controllers on each Apple devices:

NanoKey Studio bluetooth connection works fine on the iPad and the iMac, but on the MacBookPro it disconnects as soon as I run Logic. It works with Korg Kontrol Editor, though. On the iPad I'm using a KORG piano module app to test it.

MicroKey Air bluetooth connection works fine only on the iMac. On the MacBookPro, it disconnects as soon as I run Logic, the same way as the nanoKey studio does. When I try to connect it in the iPad it detects it, but the connection never happens.

Both devices work fine via USB, but I bought bluetooth controllers to use them wirelessly.

Any suggestion from KORG to troubleshoot these issues? Please Help!
