Convenient editing functions
When you tap the SHIFT button to enter Utility mode, several of the top panel buttons will perform convenient utility functions for editing.
Copying performance data (COPY STEP)
This function copies the rhythm patterns of all parts, accent on/off data, effect send on/off data, and motion sequence data for 16 steps.
- Tap the COPY STEP button. The part buttons will change to buttons that indicate the status for 16 steps.
- Tap the copy-source button.
- Tap the copy-destination button. A confirmation dialog box will appear. To copy the data, tap the OK button. If you decide not to copy, tap the Cancel button.
Erasing a part's performance data (CLEAR PART)
This function clears (erases) a part's rhythm pattern data in a single operation.
- Tap the CLEAR PART button. The part buttons will blink.
- Tap the part button whose data you want to clear. A confirmation dialog box will appear. To clear the data, tap the OK button. If you decide not to clear the data, tap the Cancel button.
Clearing a motion sequence (CLEAR MOTION)
This function clears (erases) motion sequence data for a specific parameter.
- Tap the CLEAR MOTION button. The part buttons will blink.
- Select the part that contains the motion sequence that you want to clear.
- Tap the knob or button whose motion sequence that you want to clear. A confirmation dialog box will appear. To clear the motion data, tap the OK button. If you decide not to clear the motion data, tap the Cancel button.
Moving a part's performance data (MOVE DATA)
This function moves the rhythm pattern and motion sequence data one step at a time.
- Tap the MOVE DATA button. The part buttons will blink.
- Select the part(s) whose data you want to move. The data for the parts that are lit-up will be moved. You can select one or more parts.
- To move the data back, tap the right arrow step page select button. The data at the last step will move to the first step. To move the data forward, tap the left arrow step page select button. The data at the first step will move to the last step.
