Of course! You can play iMono/Poly using an external MIDI keyboard such as microKEY Air (Bluetooth), microKEY2, nanoKEY2, taktile etc. via iPad Camera Connection Kit / Lightning USB Camera Adapter. And micro KEY Air or nanoKEY Studio via Bluetooth MIDI connection support.
What about midi mapping the knobs, buttons, etc..? Is there plans to add user mapping of parameters to the Korg iOS devices? I think Gadget has midi mapping, why not the others? Just add the Function option or ability to hold a knob or button for 3 seconds to activate midi mapping mode.
I too would like to know whether you can assign user maps from mother keyboards. This is essential for pad based synth apps as editing in a performance is impossible!
Midi Learn Function Please Korg we need this to make the most of the Synth like ALL you're App's adding this would help us all.
The only thing I need to know is: is MIDI Program Change supported?
The absence of this in the iPolySix was a big let down for me .
My only thoughts on why Korg would have left out midi learn and midi program change is that they plan to sell it as an IAP in the future, and or they want their iOS apps to be for amateurs, and their mac/pc apps for pros. No other reason to not have included these features.
I agree with Dvelop. More and more of us use iPads etc as professional stage sound source and without midi learn, they may as well be toys. Come on Korg, it isn't that difficult to add, give us what we want!
hallelujah. Midi learn has been added to iMono/Poly as of 09/17/17. Thanks so much Korg.
i cannot get it to work using studiomux with external keyboard ,
not supported?
Yes please, the midi learn feature and seamless transitions are the two things lacking on the Korg Module app to be 100% a substitute of regular keyboards for gigging.
