VOICES
UNISON
Specifies the number of voices used when playing in unison mode. The maximum number of voices depends on the VOICES (total voice) setting. Unison simultaneously sounds the number of voices that you specify here, with the output of VCO1 and VCO2 mixed.

VOICES
Specifies the maximum number of notes that can played if VOICE ASSIGN is set to "POLY" or when UNISON is used.

PORTAMENTO
Specifies how the portamento effect is applied (the time over which the pitch change occurs). If the slider is in the “MIN” position, no portamento effect is applied. As you move the slider toward the “MAX” position, the pitch change occurs over a longer time.

MODE switch
Selects whether portamento is enabled when you use the TRANSPOSE lever. Use a fine-tipped pen or similar object to press this switch.

TRANSPOSE
Switches the range of pitches assigned to the keyboard in steps of two octaves.

UNISON DETUNE

UNISON SPREAD
Spreads the output of the voices between the L and R channels if UNISON is set to a number greater than one and you are playing ARP ODYSSEi in unison mode. If the UNISON setting is an odd number, one voice is panned to the center.

PROPORTIONAL PITCH CONTROL
Depending on the strength of the press, the program will produce vibratos and musical intervals.

VOICE ASSIGN switch
Set the voice allocation method.

MONO : produces monophonic sounds.
LEGATO : produces monophonic sounds. Does not retrigger EG.

Stockholm by Reason
Octo-Sample Loop Player

Stockholm by Reason is a gadgetized version of “Dr. Octo Rex” from Propellerhead Software’s Reason, which allows you to load a total of 8 Rex files and switch between them in real-time. You can make arrangements by simply loading multiple drum or guitar loops into the player and freely switching between them. It is also possible to create new phrases, beats by triggering slices in any way you like.

Stockholm.png

What is a Rex file?
Rex files are loops which have been converted into Propellerhead Software's ReCycle's file format. By “slicing” an audio loop and making separate samples of each beat, it possible to change the tempo of a loop without affecting its pitch, as well as trigger parts of a loop as if it was made out of individual sounds.*

* It is not possible to use Stockholm to convert or edit Rex files. Please use Propellerhead Software’s Reason or ReCycle to convert and edit Rex files.

RES
This sets the resonance of the filter.

ON
This turns the filter on and off.

MODE
This lets you select from the 5 types of filter.

Notch : A notch filter (or band reject filter) could be described as the opposite of a bandpass filter. It cuts off frequencies in a narrow midrange band, letting the frequencies below and above through.

HP 12 : A highpass filter is the opposite of a lowpass filter, cutting out lower frequencies and letting high frequencies pass. The HP filter slope has a 12 dB/Octave roll-off.

BP 12 : A bandpass filter cuts both high and low frequencies, while midrange frequencies are not affected. Each slope in this filter type has a 12 dB/Octave roll-off.

LP 12 : This type of lowpass filter is also widely used in classic analog synthesizers. It has a gentler slope (12 dB/Octave), leaving more of the harmonics in the filtered sound compared to the LP 24 fil- ter.

LP 24 : Lowpass filters lets low frequencies pass and cuts out the high frequencies. This filter type has a fairly steep roll- off curve (24dB/Octave). Many classic synthesizers used this filter type.
