macOS Sequoia: Korg System Updater can't connect to hardware

macOS Sequoia introduces permissions settings for network access for individual applications. If set incorrectly, this can block the System Updater from accessing the instrument. To check this:

  1. Quit the Korg System Updater.
  2. Open System Settings.
  3. Select "Privacy & Security" and then the sub-section "Local Network."
  4. You will see entries to enable or disable access for individual applications. In some cases, there may be multiple entries with the same name.
  5. Find all entries for the Korg System Updater, and make sure that they are turned on.
  6. Open the Korg System Updater; it should now be able to connect to the hardware.
