macOS Sequoia: Editor/Librarian or Korg System Updater can't connect to hardware

macOS Sequoia introduces permissions settings for network access for individual applications. If set incorrectly, this can block the Editor/Librarian or System Updater from accessing the wavestate. To check this:

  1. Quit the Editor/Librarian or Korg System Updater.
  2. Open System Settings.
  3. Select "Privacy & Security" and then the sub-section "Local Network."
  4. You will see entries to enable or disable different applications. Find the entry for the wavestate Editor Librarian or Korg System Updater.
  5. If it is disabled, turn it on, and then open the Editor/Librarian or Korg System Updater; they should now be able to connect to the hardware.
