When I connected my new Korg nanoKontrol Studio to the updated Gadget, it told me a firmware update is required (I think it said 1.0.2). When I clicked OK, it just took me to the Korg homepage. I cannot find the nanoKontrol Studio firmware update anywhere on the site.

Where can I find it? Is this required to enable "Korg Native Mode?"

Updated Gadget to 2.1 and had beautiful evening playing live layered Gadget sounds thanks to new channelized midi receive feature, which allows playing several Gadget devices at once. Even tried Gadget in MPE mode with same Gadget in every slot. Thanks Korg!

However incoming midi filtering (key and velocity ranges) and midi out options are still not present :/ Also must say since gadgets seem fixed to +/- 2 cent pitch bend range (except few lead patches from Darvin/M1) so for MPE Gadget is not very useful.

Hi Graham, we are sorry about the misleading dialog message. In this case, you can use Korg Native Mode without any firmware updates by skipping the dialog. We are now fixing this misleading problem and will release a new update of Korg Gadget soon. Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.

    Hello Korg,
'Gadget' is an amazing app however since upgrading to the current version (2.1.2) on my iPad 3 I'm having trouble accessing the 'Midi Learn' element of the app. Nothing happens when I press the 'Function' button anymore, so I can no longer assign midi CCs to a specific Gadget's parameters. Why is this?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hello guys,
Thanks very much for getting back to my previous message, I managed to play around with it and solve the 'Function' issue.

However, I've now discovered another issue and it's that Gadget simply ignores any midi being sent to it from my DAW (Ableton) via Studiomux.

In fact all of my Korg iOS apps (ims20, iPolysix, Gadget) ignore any midi being sent from Abelton via Studiomux even when I have them listening to all midi inputs on all channels, why is this?

All of my other iOS apps recieve midi from Ableton fine via studiomux.

I got my nanoKEY Studio hooked up to Gadget 2.1 and was surprised that changing the scale and key in Gadget didn't change the scale and key on the nanoKEY Studio for use with Easy Scale and Scale Guide mode. I thought these things were designed to work with each other =\

Midi is not working with Studiomux. The midi button is on but gadget is not responding. When playing from gadget audio is working. What is wrong here?

Hi! I am a happy owner of NanoKontrol Studio and wonder how to control Gadget using different scenes? I would like to be able to have one scene for controlling the mixer and other scenes where I control Gadget instruments. When I connect the NanoKontrol with Bluetooth the scene button is dimmed. Next question is how to play chords in Gagdet with one button using a Korg Microkey. I know the NanoKey Studio is made for this but is this not possible with other keyboards?

    Hi!
The arpeggiator and chord features that most Gadget instruments have are amazing.
However, arps or chord do not respond after I type in the piano roll. They only respond when I type on the keyboard on the screen. Have I missed any settings and why is the gadget keyboard so tiny?

Question, I am thinking about getting a Triton Taktile 25, I know with the new 2.0 version it states that it will control Gadget. Does that include transport control since the new update of Gadget?

Would be great to have the possibility to make use of advanced midi input in gadget although nano key studio is connected when suing it as a controller in a different app. I am using modestep and gadget is running as a slave in this. Thus i can not create different tracks with different midi channels for gadget in modestep.

The MIDI CC# assign-list does not show up when pressing the Function button when in the Edit screen of a gadget using a non-Korg MIDI keyboard (Novation Launchkey). I am using version 2.5.5 on an Ipad Air with iOS 9.3.5. Anyone else experiencing this? Tried toggle the native mode on and off and restarting My ipad with no success. What am I doing wrong?

Hello and thanks in advance: I've seen that this question was done on August 2016, and looks like its still not responded: It's my exact current situation, so I will just paste the same question again: "I am thinking about getting a Triton Taktile 25, I know with the new 2.0 version it states that it will control Gadget. Does that include transport control since the new update of Gadget?"

@animagenes No. Right now from my experience, the Taktile cannot control the transport controls. I went ahead and bought one on amazon. I figured for $137, you couldn't beat the price of getting 500 triton sounds, along with a nice midi controller. The xy pad is nice and a lot better than the nanopad 2, which I had and quickly returned. The pads feel good and I love the pads as chords. The ARP is nice too.

I also did a little review of it as well.

Question: how do I upload files from iPad Gadget to Gadget on the Mac? I exported the MIDI files but when I tried to import to the MAC it would import one file at a time and override the existing file. Also it would open the wrong instrument for the MIDI file.

Thanks Korg for giving us gadget!(my 1St ever instrument played was a korg poly 800 I was baby!) Couple of questions.
1)I have just bought full version Gadget for iOS, I read I would have got "more then 20 gadgets with full version", but are not there,do I miss something? I have some gadgets disabled,Can you please help me ?
2)is there a way to easily set the "key range" per instrument?, let's say I want the "bass" sound only from "E2 to G3"...
Wait for your help. All the best!

    Hi,
Can I please request that you include an Export for Ableton option which includes BOTH -
MIDI and Audio? At the moment when I export to dropbox - even if exporting one at a time , it overwrites the previous .als file. Therefore I have to export the audio, download from dropbox, unzip, then open in Ableton, before exporting the MIDI version and then adding those tracks from the new .als file to the Ableton Project. Or I have to SaveAs and rename every Gadget project before exporting and join the Ableton projects. Both are very quite time consuming. Thanks.

Uh... Korg Gadget gives no warning if you load a file after changing the previous one. Is this considered a bug or a feature? I just lost 3 hours of work this morning.

    Hello,

I Just purchased Gadget 2 for my iPad Pro. After playing with it a couple of hours, it sounds very promising :-)

But, to really integrate Gadget 2 in my workflow, I miss Audio Unit v.3. I was very surprised to discover AUv3 is not integrated in Gadget 2.

Thus, my question : Is there any plan to implement AUv3 in the future versions of Gadget ?

I don't want to use Audiobus (too clunky) or IIA (reaching its End Of Life)

Thank you in advance for your insights

    Hi,
nanoPAD2's gate arpeggiator function works in sync with the MIDI clock data received from Gadget 2 on iOS or even better from an external sequencer like
    Beatstep?
I tried to switch the midi clock on external in the Korg Kontrol editor but it doesn't seem to work.
    Your opinions?

I'm completely baffled by this site. I'm trying to download the Triton demo. I see a yellow bar suggesting something is downloading but I've no idea where it downloads and what to do next to try it. Any help would be most appreciated. If I like it I'll buy the full set but.................... How do I try it please?
