DRUM Parameters

Press the DRUM button to access the sound creation and editing parameters of the Drum Kit. The DRUM module consists of six individually-editable instruments; only three instruments are visible on-screen at a time, so swipe across the display to access the additional instruments.

  1. PADS
    PAD:
The six trigger pads are used to play the individual DRUM sounds.

  1. KICK parameters
WAVE : This three-position switch allows you to select the Kick Waveform. Each WAVE will have its own harmonic content (tone).
TUNE : The TUNE knob sets the pitch.
BOOST : Use the BOOST knob to add more low-end energy (bass) to the sound.
DECAY : Increase the DECAY value for a longer sound; decrease the DECAY setting for a shorter sound.
BEND : Adding a little BEND can reproduce the pitch change as the drum head flexes. Add more BEND to create other effects.
LEVEL : This LEVEL knob controls only the KICK sound; use the LEVEL knob of each drum to create the right DRUM mix.

  1. SNARE parameters
    PUNCH :
This three-position switch allows you to choose how much emphasis is added to the attack of the SNARE.
TUNE : The TUNE knob sets the pitch of the SNARE drum.
SNAPPY : Use the SNAPPY knob to add change the tone of the SNARE.
DECAY : Increase the DECAY value for a longer sound; decrease the DECAY setting for a shorter sound.
NOISE : Use the NOISE knob to add extra noise to the SNARE sound, similar to adding more snare and stick noise.
LEVEL : This LEVEL knob controls only the SNARE sound; use the LEVEL knob of each drum to create the right DRUM mix.

  1. HIHAT1 & HIHAT2 parameters
    PUNCH :
This three-position switch allows you to choose how much emphasis is added to the attack of the HIHAT.
COLOR : Use the COLOR knob to change the tonal character of HIHAT.
RESO (Resonance) : The RESO knob controls the amount of energy in the upper harmonics of the HIHAT sound.
DECAY : Increase the DECAY value for a longer sound; decrease the DECAY setting for a shorter sound.
LEVEL : This LEVEL knob controls only the HIHAT1 or HIHAT2 sound; use the LEVEL knob of each drum to create the right DRUM mix.

  2. TOM parameters
    BENDA :
small amount of BEND can imitate how the pitch of a drum decays. Adding more BEND can create other effects—including “old-school” electronic drums.
TUNE : The TUNE knob sets the pitch of the TOM drum.
NOISE : Use the NOISE knob to add extra noise; this can make the TOM seem more percussive.
DECAY : Increase the DECAY value for a longer sound; decrease the DECAY setting for a shorter sound.
LEVEL : This LEVEL knob controls only the TOM sound; use the LEVEL knob of each drum to create the right DRUM mix.

  3. PERC (Percussion) parameters
    LFO :
The LFO (Low-Frequency Oscillator) adds a modulation effect to the PERC sound. This dial allows you to choose the waveform of the LFO modulation.
TUNE : The TUNE knob sets the pitch of the PERC drum.
SPEED : This knob controls the SPEED of the LFO modulation effect.
DECAY : Increase the DECAY value for a longer sound; decrease the DECAY setting for a shorter sound.
DEPTH : This knob controls the DEPTH (intensity) of the LFO modulation effect. Turn this knob all the way down to cancel the LFO Modulation effect.
LEVEL : This LEVEL knob controls only the PERC sound; use the LEVEL knob of each drum to create the right DRUM mix.
