Old KORG USB-MIDI driver may not work correctly due to Windows Update. Please use the latest Windows 10 KORG USB-MIDI Driver.
[Update on July 30, 2019]
As you may notice, Korg has released a USB-MIDI driver that supports Windows 10 May 2019 Update (V1903) . Please download and install the latest driver.

The Korg drivers for Windows 10 don't work (for me) on Windows 10 1809 (LTSC) ... but the original Microsoft driver "Audio Video Game Controller" does. To get there goto the device manager in Windows, and uninstall the Korg driver, say "yes" in the dialogue "delete Korg driver files" and that's it. Switch off / on the SQ64, then Windows installs the default Microsoft driver and in M1 LE now sound works bidirectional, even drums on a different Midi channel. When the Korg driver installer pops up just say "no". I can select the SQ64 as Midi input and output, I can assign a midi channel in M1 to receive one of the keyboard tracks on the SQ64 and that's all I need when I am travelling. Having a handy sequencer at my hand and everything else as software synthesizer. Even the feature stripped LE edition does well for me :-) Unfortunately Korg itself told me they can't help me, pls ask the local dealer... WTF? They're no IT engineers but I am.I have to say that the default setup of the SQ64 is sort of stupid as Midi to USB TX is switched off for all tracks... took me 30 min to figure out that because the itsy bitsy manual which is basically a feature list but not a real help. Will make my own tutorial... my guess is that the Korg drivers are meant for Windows 10 not having the latest Midi software infrastructure, because the Korg Midi driver replaces some things and then the SQ64 isn't listed any more as Midi in device e.g. for the Korg M1 LE but also for other tools I have like Audacity or Musescore. Yes Musescore... can read midi in and uses the MS Midi mapper that comes with the Midi General setup and wavetables.
The issue is the the Korg driver only allows for up to 10 MIDI devices. This is what I do.

Steve
the most ridiculous is that, after hours of trying multiple things, i decided to swap the usb cable provided by korg and used one of mines and suddenly the driver goes fine... lol
nts-1
with Electribe2S, windows 10 did not detect usb connected
My Korg Krome is not being recognize by window 11. Any solution at the moment?
My understanding is that this is primarily a problem if you have more than 10 MIDI ports and the Korg port ends up being greater than 10 in the count. You can change the port that your device is plugged into and you may get lucky. For me, I periodically do as described in the below post on the Bome Software forum.

Hi, thought I'd see if people aren't able to update with the new 2.02
Windows 10 OS Build: 19044.2130
Also running into "Found no MIDI port"
Tried 2 other USB cables besides the one that came with.
Also tried the previous links for uninstalling the drivers.
Tried manually installing the driver from the website.
If anyone has any ideas let me know.
Windows recognizes it as indicated by the ping and is available under Device Manager.
The korg dirvers are just crap through several generations of them. I know that Windows 10 changed something in the driver architecture in the 1709 update and it seems something has changed with 20H2 again - try the Windows driver for "audio video game" controller. Apart from that Korg ignores the Midi standard that C1 is 32 and then claims to have their own "Standard", but imo this is BS. All other midi devices think that C1 is 32 but Korg wahnted to make me believe that it's 48. For that reason no of the drum notes work on the SQ64 and Boss/Korg is somewhere elsewhere but not in reality.
Still not working
My Win10 PC wouldnt connect via USB with or without the Korg USB Midi Driver installed and several work-arounds tried so I tried it on my works laptop. I first tried the Sound Librarian to see if I was talking to the XD and this just displayed weird fonts so thought I'd better resolve this first, and eventually uninstalled the only font I have added (microgramma D Bold Extended) and this worked. Why on earth would Korg point it to this font and the symbols at the end of the character map is absurd. Anyway, once fixed it just showed me the XD still wasnt connecting. So I removed the Korg driver utility and now its talking just fine. Checking on what its using though in Device manager I was surprised to find its using KORGUM64.SYS so not only does uninstalling the driver tool not remove the drivers, it appears the drivers are working somehow just fine!?
I wont be buying any more Korg kit until this is resolved.
Well, now Windows always has every single problem when it comes to drivers. Windows 10 has only made it significantly worse. This is just hopelessly stupid. I have always had a problem with the korg pa300 driver in Windows. There is a new updated driver from Korg, because then after a windows update that you cannot stop, only contributes to the fact that the last updated driver no longer works. And now I stand here again for the hundred and eleventh time. So what to do now? I can go back to windows 8.1. The only problem is that Microsoft has such bad respect for its customers that they simply stopped providing support and updates for 8.1. What these fools from Microsoft are up to is still a mystery. I'm considering selling the Korg and buying a Roland, because this is getting hopeless.
This its verry bad pr for Korg and Microsoft.
21 months later and the SQ-64 still has no working Windows drivers from Korg or Microsoft (game of chance with both to have it up and running). Or correct drum notes. Or any workable instruction, or any tool to edit sequences in Windows, still no firmware update that I can type A-Z on the 64 keys, still the two turn-toggles required to write something. And the device has undergone a reasonable price drop frmo 298 Euro to 233 :-(
Hi everyone who's still losing his/her mind on this.
I can't use my Korg NanoKey Studio on Windows 10. I've tried all the workaround found on the web, multiple times. Impossible. Now I don't even see it in the 12 position using the uninstaller. Even when I got it at midi1 Ableton was not seeing it. Tried different cables and ports. Nothing.
Someone has found other ways to make it work? Thanks!!
I have win 10 updated to the latest version

The earlier Youtube video about deleting Midi 1 through 9 in Regedit didn't seem to work for me as they kept coming back after restart with no devices connected.
What I found by running 'Uninstall Korg USB- Midi device' from the Korg startup group was that there were not 9 Midi devices installed, but over 50. Seems my USB mixer/interface keeps installing over and over (I keep having to change to a higher number USB for output in certain programs).
So I kept uninstalling MIDI 1 through 9 with the Windows Driver (and restarting) until the Korg Driver showed up near the top.
This sorted it out for me and have plugged the other devices back in and they work fine also.
